Fairy Tale by Stephen KingDid you know that Stephen King has a new book coming out September 6th? Fairy Tale sounds amazing! It comes out a day after my birthday so I must prepare now and ask for time off. Ha!

Here’s a synopsis:

Legendary storyteller Stephen King goes into the deepest well of his imagination in this spellbinding novel about a seventeen-year-old boy who inherits the keys to a parallel world where good and evil are at war, and the stakes could not be higher—for that world or ours. ~ Indiebound

I don’t have much scheduled for this week which is how I like it. Besides some work projects, my ME time has been spent with the cat and pup. There’s a routine now and sometimes that routine involves me taking the cat with us on walks. But, the pup doesn’t like it when I have the stroller with us so my one attempt was comically observed by many neighbors. Root Beer kept throwing all her weight to the back of the stroller so it would tip over. The Otter Pup thinks she is a show off. They are both very dramatic. I have NO idea where they get that from.

I finished Greenwich Park and scheduled the review for this Friday so I immediately picked up Ocean State.  If I don’t have another book lined up I tend to get distracted so off I go to spend some time with O’Nan. I love his writing. I am curious about this one, it seems very short.

Later today I am going to go through review copies to see what’s available. That is always dangerous. I could end up with dozens of review copies but I haven’t looked lately and need to see what’s coming for summer.

That’s all I have. I hope you have a great day!

The Otter Pup and Root Beer, Napping

This has been a pretty warm week. Yesterday was 80 and today is expected to be close to that. I am not ready for the extreme heat that the next few months will bring. My daughter is loving it though. She has just been chilling in her room, watching movies, resting, etc. She heads back Saturday. My son continues to interview. It’s hard for his age group right now. The cost of living is a deciding factor with most of these interviews. If you can’t afford to pay rent on the salary being offered that’s an issue. Something will turn up. I’d rather he keep looking than accept something that won’t work.

Hey, tonight we have book club and we will be discussing Memorial Drive. We are meeting in person so I am very excited! Many of you told me it was an amazing read and you were not wrong. I’ve been feeling a little cooped up lately so it will be good to get out.

I’ve been trying to catch-up with my blog reading but if you have been reading a “must read” book, let me know what it is so I can add it to my list.

In regards to that ultrasound I had on Monday, the lump has not grown or changed. I have to go back in another six months and if it’s changed at all it will be biopsied. I would rather them just biopsy it.

That’s all I have. I hope the week is treating you all well. It’s still a weird time, isn’t it? Masks coming off and yet China is in lockdown again.
