Today is a glorious, sunny day after days and days of rain. We got up at 4am to drop my son off at the airport and then came home and promptly went back to bed. Slept in until 10am and then I remembered that I never wrote my First Book post.
So, here it is. Sheila from Book Journey is hosting #FirstBook again and this is an event that I try not to miss. You pick your first book of the year and then she shares it in a collage format. Normally, you take a photo of yourself with the book but this year mine is an e-book, Our Country Friends by Gary Shteyngart.
Join us! What is your first book of the year?
Hope you enjoy this one; I have it but, I’ll see what you think. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
Cant wait to hear what you think of this book. I just finished it. Ill say no more
Oh…a pandemic book? Too soon for me, I think. But I’ll be interested to hear what you think.
I love First Book. I am reading The Sweetness of Water and so far it’s really good.
I love the rain and was grateful we got so much of it, but it was nice to wake up today to clear blue skies and sunshine. I hope you enjoy Our Country Friends and Have a Happy New Year!
My first book of 2022 is “A Study in Crimson” – Sherlock Holmes story set in 1942.
Happy 🎉New Year! My first book of the Year is Stolen Hours by Allen Eskins- it was great.
I haven’t heard of this book – sounds interesting. Happy New Year and enjoy your read!
I didn’t pick my #FirstBook be Dec. 31. I picked it on Jan. 1 and read the whole thing already. You’ll see my review this week! I just love these graphics you are creating.
