We said goodbye to the rain, but in came the cold. I like to be cozy so as long as I can cuddle up with a blanket, which I even do at work, I am good. But when I have to attend a meeting in a very cold conference room, I look a little odd carrying my blanket around. So be it. I got hit with a cold this week and I don’t care what I look like with my blanket.
Right Now:
Just sitting here. Still trying to recover from whatever happened to my throat after that allergic reaction and this cold on of it. I feel as if I damaged some vocal cords. Inflammation CAN do that because it happened to me once before so I hope this is not happening again.
In a little bit, we will head off to church. Later, volunteering with the high school ministry. We have a new, earlier start time which means I will be back before 7 p.m. and in plenty of time for The Walking Dead.
This Week:
My daughter has auditions for Grease on Monday & Tuesday. I have to run her to her orthodontist appointment during her audition and then run her back.
My son got a callback for Bright Star. Hopefully I will have news on that later.
My life group meets on Tuesday and we will be having a “Gal-en-tine” celebration. I am making spinach and artichoke dip which I will serve with tortilla chips.
Nothing planned for Valentine’s Day but maybe we will order in.
I was supposed to do Winter camp with my high school group over President’s Day weekend but it was cancelled due to low enrollment. I am keeping my vacation request as is though. Long weekend? Yes, please!
Reading:
Trying to wrap-up An Anonymous Girl. My word for the year should have been SLOW because I am not reading very quickly these days.
Watching:
I haven’t been watching anything but I plan to watch The Walking Dead premiere tonight. I don’t want to give up on the show but it hasn’t been good at all and now that Rick is gone. Well, I just don’t know.
New Things I’ve Tried:
A blogger friend introduced me to Korean skin care videos on YouTube. Seriously, those girls know how to take care of their skin. Anyway, I noticed that most of them used cleansing balms to remove makeup so I picked up a cheap version of one I heard about, Ponds Cleansing Balm. It’s really weird! It is like solid coconut oil but liquefies as soon as it hits your skin. It melts off my makeup very quickly. I don’t wear much but I had my daughter use it for her stage makeup and it worked well.
Grateful for:
Very grateful that my weekend has been quiet. Gotta get over this cold. I cannot stand being all stuffed-up.
That’s all I have. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
