Good morning! My daughter was supposed to fly in tonight but due to weather and her campus closing for snow, we switch her flight so she could come in this past Friday. Gives her a little extra time. She is loving visiting with The Otter Pup and Root Beer the cat. No big plans while she is here besides a good haircut. She just wants to chill.

As for my son, he continues to interview. Right now the most promising opportunities are for Denver and Kansas City.

Right Now:

Coffee. Breakfast. Off to student ministry. I might try to sneak a chapter in before I go.

This Week:

Not a lot scheduled but this Monday I do have a follow-up ultrasound for a lump that was found four months ago. The radiologist was pretty convinced it’s benign but wants to check for growth now that a few months have passed. Hoping it’s gone, to be honest.

Reading:

The School for Good Mothers. Although I might be done with it by the time you read this. Also reading Memorial Drive for club.

Watching:

We finished All of Us Are Dead. Looking forward to Season 2. Supposedly they have a green light to start filming.

Grateful for:

• Books that  instantly pull me in.
• This is super dumb but I discovered Chick Fil A’s gluten free egg and cheese sandwich. Makes for a nice breakfast now and then.

Good morning! I think I mentioned before how Root Beer the cat is addicted to phone and computer screens. Anytime we have them out, she looks for her bird videos. It’s gotten to the point where she will knock my phone out of my hand. This was initially annoying but has been a blessing because it’s forced me to put my phone away. This allowed me to finish a book! Finally. We are weaning her off the bird videos as she now has a stroller for walkies.

No big news on the job front for my son. He has had lots of interviews. He is most excited about a Denver opportunity. You have all been very sweet with the encouraging messages and some have even gone as far as sending him job opportunities. Thank you so much!

Right Now:

This was a rare week where I got to spend extra time with the students from student ministry. Yesterday we volunteered to pack meals together and today it’s week one of a new series which is pretty exciting as we head into Easter. I am about to head over there now.

This Week:

We are gearing up for my daughter’s one week return on 3/13. We will be picking her up from a distant airport since flights were ridiculous but we will make it work. She is very eager to be home for a bit.

Reading:

The School for Good Mothers. It’s a little dark and I am liking it so far.

Watching:

Still watching All of Us Are Dead. A Korean zombie show on Netflix. It’s a good mix of action, drama, and yes, even some comedy.

Grateful for:

• SO happy to be walking again. I do a long-ish walk and then a short walk the next day so I can ease back into it.
• My new 40 ounce Hydro Flask. I have to drink a gallon of water a day now (doctor’s order) so it helps to not have to refill so much.
