It’s been a fabulous weekend. Nothing special going on except that I managed to knock more gifts off the list. My goal is to be done by Dec. 1st so that I can enjoy family and friends and not be frazzled by last-minute shopping.
I’ve carved my list down from last year too, which is why it’s so much easier this year. I’m just fed-up with the commercial aspect of Christmas. I am buying smaller, more thoughtful gifts and leaving it at that.
BUT, my favorite part of Christmas is the time off. I am lucky to have been at my current job for over 15 years so I have lots of vacation to use for the holidays. I’m taking the entire week of Thanksgiving off as well as two weeks for Christmas. I am going to hang-out in my jammies, drink hot chocolate (or more likely coffee) and READ!
I just came back from the bookstore and there were so many books that I wanted to pick-up. I held back, but I am making a mental list and putting together my reading for the holidays. Here are some of the books that caught my eye. Click on each cover for more info.
Will you be enjoying some time off too? Do you have your reading list all planned out? What will you be reading?
