Sunday Matters: What Month Is It?

Sunday Matters

My brain thinks it’s June. I have been dating my checks wrong and flipping to the wrong month in my planner. June was very mild for us so I’m sure that helped confuse me. But can the year fly by any faster? I don’t think so. It has been SO pretty out, though. Warm days and cool evenings. Perfect.

Right Now:

Not much going in this morning. Later, there is a movie night scheduled at church so I will be going to that.

Later, I might flip through a few cookbooks for meal inspiration. I’m so tired of making the same old stuff over and over again.

This Week:

This week should be good. The Child Development class my daughter is taking at the college ends this week. And production week for Little Shop is still a week off so we will have a little break before that.

Oh, and I almost forgot about a book discussion I am hosting mid-week for I’ll Be Gone In the Dark.

Reading:

I’ve got my summer list of books to get to but I want something really juicy. Have’t decided what though.

Watching:

I am ready discuss Stranger Things if anyone wants to!

New Things I’ve Tried:

Every now and then my skin breaks out. Usually if I have eaten gluten by accident. Well, my daughter had a sample of Glam Glow Supermud and it healed what I had overnight. No joke. I have tried it three times now and it’s worked overnight in each case. A dab overnight. Boom. Healed the next day.

This is not a sponsored post but when I find things that work I like to share them. It’s pricey but such a small amount is used. I bet it would last a long time.

Grateful for:

SO darn happy that this one class ends this week.

What are you up to today? How’s the week look for you?

Summer Reading 2019

Summer Reading 2019

It’s been a hectic year so this summer, my list is short and sweet! I don’t want to be tied to a big, long, list of books I know I won’t get to so instead, I picked four that I know I will read and then I will spice it up with some psychological thrillers here and there as the mood strikes.

Here is what I plan to read:

The Summer Demands by Deborah Shapiro

The Summer Demands

The Friends We Keep by Jane Green

The Friends We Keep

City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert

Walden by Henry David Thoreau

Walden

I felt like I needed a classic in there somewhere. So, what do you think? Doable, right? Also, I think it gives me the flavor of summer but allows me a little flexibility when it comes to mood reading. I can still fit books in here and there without going totally off course.

I know many of you posted your lists while I was gone so I will be sure to look for them.
