Sunday Matters: The Sophomore Is In The House

sunday-matters (1)

My daughter is back. The end of her freshman year brought challenges but she made it through. As soon as she landed we got a good meal into her. The least we can do since she has to begin prep for a procedure very soon. When we got home, she went right into her room to watch a movie and listen to Harry’s House, the new album by Harry Styles. The Otter Pup was thrilled to see her and has been camping out outside her door each morning until she wakes.

Right Now:

Student ministry is meeting today so I will be leaving for that soon. Today, we are celebrating the seniors. What a quick year this has been. After that, we will grab a late lunch and maybe even wrap up Ozark.

Reading:

My current read is French Braid by Anne Tyler.

French Braid

Watching:

If we are lucky, we will finish Ozark, Season 4 today.

Grateful for:

  • The Girl being home. So happy she can see the doc soon.
  • Being able to take longer walks. I keep pushing myself a bit more each day and I am starting to see more improvements with my knee.

Have a wonderful Sunday and great week!

  1. A good week for sure!! So glad your daughter is home and your knee is letting you take longer walks again. My mother started French Braid last night and called to tell me she was bored, lol. I know Anne Tyler’s books are quiet, but I wonder if this one is even slower than usual. I’m still on the library hold list.

  2. Hope the procedure helps your daughter and glad she’s home to get it addressed. I actually got a few walks in this week myself and hope to get a few more in this week. Glad you are able to get your “walkies” in with The Otter Pup.

  3. I know how it feels to have a kid who isn’t feeling well and being with them is the best thing! I hope they figure out what’s going on with her.

  4. Hope things go well for your daughter and that they get to the bottom of her issue. Glad your knee is better. I find when I avoid sugar mine are somewhat better as well. Wonder what you think of French Braid? I liked it but it wasn’t a favorite. I thought it covered too many years.

  5. I’m glad to hear that your daughter is home and that you are feeling better and walking further. I hope everything else goes well for your daughter.
