This Week Promises to be a Little Nuts

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you had a lovely, long weekend. We headed to Palm Springs, dog in tow, and it was a nice weekend with extremely mild weather but when you only have a few days to visit with family and enjoy the sights, it goes by super fast. As was the case with us.

I shared this pic on Facebook but we were all wiped out on the car ride home.

The Girl and Otter Pup

I never got around to doing a Sunday post and my posting will be all over the place this week because I have something going on every single day!

  • Tonight, I’m supposed to attend a City Council meeting. I might not because we have all sorts of stuff to catch-up on from being gone but as of now it’s on the calendar. Dress rehearsal for The Teen’s choir concert is also tonight. Update: meeting was cancelled. Good.
  • Wednesday, Choir concert to attend from 7-9 or so.
  • Thursday, Hair appointment and The Girl returns from her 6th grade field trip right about the same time. Have to figure that out. Also trying to work church in since we won’t be able to attend on Sunday.
  • Friday, we are going to the Choir Banquet but now The Teen won’t be there! He’ll be auditioning for the gig at the Pantages Theatre (Jerry Herman Awards). If he needs a ride one of us will have to take him. It will be weird attending a banquet that he won’t even be at but we already bought tickets.
  • Saturday, more auditioning for the Jerry Herman Awards all day in Hollywood.
  • Sunday, Track party from 11-3! Then, we have to head to church for The Girl’s youth group meeting which is where I volunteer as well.
  • Monday, The Teen is back at the Pantages for rehearsal. Awards show is at  7pm which we will all be attending. The Girl has to miss her own rehearsal for this but it’s a once in a lifetime thing. Have to do it.

Do you see why I had to write this all down? Also, I am sure there is stuff I forgot like picking up headshots, etc.

So, if I am a little non-existent this week, you know why. Hope you all have a good week.

    1. Those two make quite a pair. You wouldn’t know it, but the pup is not all that fond of The Girl. The Girl is kissy feely and that pup likes to be affectionate on her own terms! But in slumber, they get along 😉

  1. Such a sweet picture. Does she know you took it? LOL

Take care this week. Busy, busy. Make time for Ti, a little bit. 🙂

    1. I shared it with her! You probably heard the “awwwwww” all the way from here.

  2. I’m so excited for your son! I do hope you get a chance to relax somewhere in there, Ti, as difficult as I know that will be. Maybe even just five minutes. 🙂 Take care!

    1. Thanks! The DVD and all the other stuff should be coming soon. The pics are taking a long time to come in. We ordered them over a week ago.

  3. That’s a busy week you have – but it seems like it’s fun busy stuff! Are you finding any time to read a Little Life?

    1. Tina, my morning reading time is currently split between A Little Life and All The Light We Cannot See (book club book). My book club meetings always sneak up on my. But, I do believe I now know why everyone says A Little Life is so devastating. I am already feeling it.

    1. I don’t know. The Girl is not doing camp this year so she will need to be entertained in some way. The Teen starts summer school right when school lets out. Fun!

  4. The picture is priceless. As George’s father would say to you this week, “Serenity Now” LOL

    1. Oh man. Serenity Now is not even an option. I am actually okay I just have to focus on the next event on the list and take them as they come. I tend to fret about the future but really, it happens whether I want it to or not so why fret? I need “The Summer of Ti”. LOL.

  5. I hope you get a breather and some quality reading time while you are busy doing all the above this week. I love that picture – definitely one that you should frame!

  6. I am SO excited for The Boy! Sending him loads of good thoughts. And what a busy, busy week for you. I hope you’ll sail through it all easily and effortlessly. Remember to try to take some time for yourself, even if you have to squeeze it in between the here and there-ing! I’ll be thinking of you all week!

  7. Busy and exciting! (Well, exciting except for the City Council meeting thing, but good it got canceled.) I guess we won’t be seeing you around at Armchair BEA this week/weekend, huh?

    1. You might see me around for Armchair BEA. I have to do stuff around the house on Saturday and probably drive the one kid around and back but I am hopeful.

    1. And this is why I love ya! LOL. I almost fell asleep during the choir concert last night. The music was so soothing.
