The 2020 R.I.P. XV Challenge: I Am Here for It

RIPXV

It’s almost time for the Readers Imbibing Peril Challenge (#RIPXV, #PERILREADERS) ! This year, it could not be any easier to join in. All you have to do is find some spooky reads or movies, or both, and then post about them using the hashtags above. We ALL need this to get through this year and I am so excited! Go follow @PERILREADERS on Instagram and Twitter!

Here is what I plan to read:

RIP Challenge

Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill
The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James
Lisey’s Story by Stephen King
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill

I’ll also be watching Ratched when it comes out 9/18.

Nurse Ratched on Netflix

Will you join us? The challenge runs from September 1 – Halloween! It’s fun since there are no requirements really. Read one book or ten. Up to you!

R.I.P Challenge, #14

RIP Challenge #14

It’s almost September and you know what that means…

The Readers Imbibing Peril challenge is just around the corner. This is the only challenge I participate in. The. Only. One. Here are the details so you can join. Full details can be found on this page.

The purpose of the R.I.P. Challenge is to enjoy books that could be classified as:

Mystery.
Suspense.
Thriller.
Dark Fantasy.
Gothic.
Horror.
Supernatural.
The emphasis is never on the word challenge, instead it is about coming together as a community and embracing the autumnal mood, whether the weather is cooperative where you live or not.

The goals are simple.

1. Have fun reading.

2. Share that fun with others.

There are different levels of participation which even include movies which I am always down for. Besides my usual Halloween picks, like Halloween and The Shining, I plan to read Stephen King’s new book The Institute!

The Institute

To join in, check out the details for RIP 14 here.
