It’s almost September and you know what that means…
The Readers Imbibing Peril challenge is just around the corner. This is the only challenge I participate in. The. Only. One. Here are the details so you can join. Full details can be found on this page.
The purpose of the R.I.P. Challenge is to enjoy books that could be classified as:
Mystery.
Suspense.
Thriller.
Dark Fantasy.
Gothic.
Horror.
Supernatural.
The emphasis is never on the word challenge, instead it is about coming together as a community and embracing the autumnal mood, whether the weather is cooperative where you live or not.
The goals are simple.
1. Have fun reading.
2. Share that fun with others.
There are different levels of participation which even include movies which I am always down for. Besides my usual Halloween picks, like Halloween and The Shining, I plan to read Stephen King’s new book The Institute!
To join in, check out the details for RIP 14 here.
Have fun!
Are you joining in too? I just love the idea of it. Movies, books, whatever strikes my fancy, really.
This is such a fun event! Enjoy your reading!
Look forward to hearing what you think of the new King book.
You won’t believe this but somehow I didn’t read his last book, Elevation? I don’t know how I did that. I posted about it like I just did with this one coming out soon and then poof, forgot about it. I am having issues!
Happy spooky reading!
Can’t have RIP without some Stephen King…can you?
No kidding! I always say that King is so considerate to come out with a book every fall for me to read for this challenge.
