Last week I mentioned two challenging weeks so I am happy to report that one of those weeks is now behind us. One more week of careful scheduling and we will be good until June 10 (production week for Oliver).
Right Now:
We have a morning volleyball tournament today. It throws me off when one lands on a Sunday. Later in the afternoon is the cast party for Oklahoma but whether or not my daughter goes will depend on when we get back from the tournament.
This Week:
We have choir concerts. rehearsals, volleyball tryouts, etc.
Reading:
I finished A Gentleman in Moscow and will get the review up soon. In short, it’s a story with characters who will stay with me for a very long time.
I also finished The Flight Attendant which I think I may have enjoyed a little more than most of you did. Review coming soon.
Watching:
Fear the Walking Dead lost a major character last weekend. It was kind of a shocker, really. I’m really curious where the story will go from here.
Making:
As most of you predicted, I am now officially over yogurt bowls. Blech. I have been craving fish. Salmon and sushi particularly. Did I mention how my family hates fish?
The weather suddenly got warm again. The other day was 50 degrees and now we are expecting 90 degree temps but for some reason I am craving a good, hearty stew.
Grateful for:
This past Wednesday I experienced a food reaction during a work event and did not have my medication on hand. My throat closed up a little and I was left with a horrible sore throat. By Thursday it felt like full-fledged strep (weird) but today I am fine. Thankful that whatever it was, reaction or illness, it passed me by.
What is new with you? What book are you dying to read this summer? The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay sounds pretty darn good.
