Don’t you love happy kids? We spent the weekend bbq’ing with friends, swimming, seeing Wicked (again) and Wall-E at the El Capitan. Both of which were wonderful. It was a weekend full of fun that abrubtly ended when my daughter realized that she had to go to pre-school today. I should have taken a pic of her face. It was classic, but why not remember the happy? Right?
After doing too much on Saturday, I spent almost the entire day on Sunday READING. Yes, that’s right. I actually got to read quite a bit. I was in heaven.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you managed to get some reading time in as well.
I have to make a confession. I have been watching Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search For Elle Woods on MTV. I recorded it so that my son could see the audition process, but after the first show I was hooked. I know this post is not really book related… but there are a series of books by Amanda Brown that the movie and Broadway show were based on. I know, a very loose connection indeed.
Anyway… the audition process is brutal! Singing while on an exercise bike, dancing in stilettos on a cobblestone street, etc. I had no desire to see this show at all but I’ve decided that when it comes to L.A. in August ’09, that I am going to go. If you don’t have a lot of time to watch stuff like this, TIVO it like I do and watch it while you are eating breakfast. You can also watch full episodes online. If you watch it, tell me what you think of it.
