I mentioned it the last time I was around here, but work has been super busy. Trying to keep up with everything is proving to be a bit more challenging. Not really the work stuff but the personal stuff, like this blog. I come home and I am wiped out. And it’s June. What?
Right Now:
They added two more student services to my Sundays. I now have 5th-8th grade. Before I had 7th and 8th. This is kind of cool because new students and all that. Can’t wait to meet all the new students this Sunday.
This Week:
Nothing. Nada. Plenty of work stuff as I gear up for the fall semester but no personal commitments. Thank God! All I want to do all week is come home and go to bed with a book. I’m just so tired.
Reading:
Never Flinch by Stephen King
I have some other books going but I’m focusing on that one for now.
Watching:
I started watching Hacks. It’s pretty good.
Grateful for:
- My daughter’s first feature film shoot this week in Boston. Glad that she got work quickly after graduation.
- Friends who know just how to pull me out of a bad day or week.
- Humor (if it’s funny, I want to know about it)
Have a good week. I will be better about visiting you all!!
I am so excited that your daughter already has a part in a feature film! So exciting. I hope you’ll tell us the name once it comes out.
Being busy at work. Ew. Especially as summer starts. I hope things calm down there soon.
She signed an NDA for the sets but she is flying to the set now in Boston!! She gave me a little info. It’s a live action adaptation of the very popular video game Elden Ring of George R.R. Martin fame. It stars a very popular young man who is dating a Kardashian.
I hope things slow down for you soon and your get some rest.
Congratulations to your daughter, how exciting!
Never Flinch sounds good, King is in my top four favorite authors, but I haven’t read anything by him for quite some time. Maybe I’ll get a copy.
Never Flinch. It’s a little slow but I know it’s gonna ramp up. My daughter is on set later tonight. She is so excited! Plus she’s never been to Boston so that’s cool too.
Congratulations to your daughter… Boston is a great city!
I’m sure she is going to love Boston. I hope the shoot goes well. First experience working with a big studio and production company. A24 makes so many good films. Maybe this will open more doors.
How wonderful for your daughter! Keep us informed! Glad you get to include more kids in your Sundays – 5th-8th grade? Great! Take care of yourself and I hope your reading this week is good.
Boston is a great city. I hope she has time to explore! 🙂 I hear you on busyness at work! My work seems to be on hyperdrive.
I’m sorry you are feeling so busy at work. Hopefully, things will start to settle down for you. Summer is a busy time for so many of us, and blogging tends to take a backseat. Post when you can, but don’t stress about it. There’s too many other things stressing us out right now. Blogging shouldn’t be one of those, right?
You must be so proud of your daughter! I’m excited for her.
Thank you. Yes, blogging shouldn’t be stressful at all and usually isn’t. I just am not able to keep up at the moment. Not my MO.
