Getting myself together so I can hang out with JHIGH students at church.
This Week:
I don’t have much going on socially but this Tuesday is October 1st and that means the Of Human Bondage read along begins!! We have a small group of us but let’s go!
There’s still time to get a copy.
Reading:
I finished All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker. You can read my review here.
I also finished James and reviewed it recently.
Currently I’m reading three books and want to finish at least two before the read along.
Can’t wait to start this one!
Watching:
I was sitting on the couch reading, while my husband had a show on and I couldn’t help but get into it. Tulsa King. Anyone else watching? A mob boss, played by Sly Stallone, is sent to Oklahoma (of all places) to start a new mob cell. It’s kind of funny and very good. Highly recommend. Also, it has Dana Delaney. Love her!
Grateful for:
The Otter Pup is hanging in there. She finished her round of antibiotics for her sinus infection. Still eating. Still enjoying sun beams. We do what we can to keep her happy. So grateful that she is sleeping much better now. The poor thing was really struggling to breath. It’s so hard to watch a beloved pet age.

Watching a pet age is so tough, especially knowing that the end is coming sooner rather than later. But, I know you’re making her comfortable and appreciating her every day.

It is very hard. But we both agree that her comfort comes first.
I hope Otter pup is breathing better this week. That’s hard to watch. I can relate. We have an old dog too — trying to keep her happy.
And wow Dana Delaney — I haven’t seen her — since China Beach! That was long ago. I didn’t even know she was acting still.
I plan to start OHB soon — but I also have to finish a novel for PW so I’m going to have to go back & forth. We’ll see if I can get to it before Friday.
No problem re: OHB. It’s a no stress read along and actually, I didn’t expect it to be so easy to read. Flew through that first week.
The Pup is breathing better but she was terribly anxious last night. Finally settled down and slept well. Not sure what that was about.
I totally have the book…finally. I may be about a week behind or 2, but I am eager to start Of Human Bondage.
I feel like it’s pretty easy to dive into. Even after finishing this second section, very easy to get through. You can catch up easily if you choose to.
