Sunday Matters: Next Steps

Sunday Matters

Some of you might be able to relate to this. After dealing with any traumatic medical procedure, the recovery period, and the intermittent bouts of feeling down on yourself, you still have to put one foot in front of the other and just keep going. That is the stage I am at right now. Lots of additional blood work, scans, and the like. Done to determine progress, but also to point out some red flags, and there have been a few.  Is it exhausting,? You bet! But I also want to be around for awhile so I am making my health a priority and will keep scheduling those appointments and taking my next steps.

Right Now:

Student ministry this morning. We are very close to the end of the season. Our students move up grades early next month and then we are in summer programming. Lots of fun stuff planned.

This Week:

I had my MRI and CT scan. I should know the MRI results tomorrow. The CT scan might take a little longer to come back. I feel like most of this week will depend on those results.

Reading:

I am reading Census by Jesse Ball. I am still liking it. It’s very different. A palate cleanser if you will.

Grateful for:

The kind folks who reach out to me in different ways. I have a very large support circle and I appreciate the love, more than you know.
