Sunday Matters: Getting There

Sunday Matters

Good morning! This past week was a good reading week for me. I finally finished Tom Lake. Gosh, I love that book but it was a tad slow for my recovering brain. I’m glad that I stuck with it though. Now I can move on to my next read!

Right Now:

I’ve got student ministry this morning and then the day is wide open. I really need to purge my house of medical stuff. It is a constant reminder of my time in the hospital. Maybe I can at least unpack my hospital bag.

This Week:

The Hub’s bday is this Thursday so we will celebrate on Saturday. He wants to go to Din Tai Fung and see Civil War. Have you seen Civil War? I’m not sure I can deal with a heavy, dark topic but it’s what he wants to see.

Reading:

I am starting our  next book club read, Honor.

Grateful for:

The little bursts of energy I’ve been getting. Such a change from holing up on the couch all day long.

  1. Sounds like things are going well. I need to give Tom Lake another try, it was too slow for me in the beginning as well. Let me know what you think of Civil War, my daughter works for A24, it’s production company.

  2. I really really liked Honor so it will be interesting to see what you (and your book group) think of it.

Have bursts of energy is fantastic, let’s hope they increase!

  3. I’m happy to hear that you are improving and getting back into reading. Happy birthday to your husband. A co-worker of mine saw Civil War and he said that the battle scenes are very bloody and violent.

    1. Yeah, I figure I am in for it with Civil War. Violence and chaos is not on my list these days. Was it ever? LOL.
