Best of 2016: My Favorites

book-chatter-best-of-2016-1

Apparently, this year I focused on quirky relationships and families.

The Girls in the Garden by Lisa
The Nakeds by Lisa Glatt
Tuesday Nights in 1980 by Molly Prentiss
Commonwealth by Ann Patchett
Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris
After the Parade by Lori Ostlund
Sweetbitter by Stephanie Danler
The Invaders by Karolina Waclawiak

I can’t wait to see what 2017 brings.

  1. I love that you enjoyed Commonwealth so much. It was definitely one of my favorite ones of the year. Can’t go wrong with Patchett 🙂 Here’s to 2017 bringing you more great reads – cheers!!

  2. Quirky and dysfunctional are my favorite themes – coming of age as well. Ti, I’m Wishing you and yours Peace, joy and good health in 2017.

  3. Commonwealth and Sweetbitter made my list too. And I heard good things about The Invaders awhile back, then forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me!

  4. I haven’t read any of your favorites, Ti, but The Girls in The Garden is one of the ones I definitely plan to get to this year. I hope you have a great 2017. I know it will bring challenges, but hopefully we’ll land on our feet. 🙂

    1. Nope. That’s not bad. I actually didn’t think I would even have a list to share. I didn’t feel at the END of the year that my 2016 reading was all that great but once I started to really think about the books I realized how wrong I was. I guess my crappy Nov and Dec made me forget that initially.

      1. I think the crappy fall made a lot of people forget the rest of the year. I know I did. I am glad you were able to go back and remember some of the very excellent reads you got in last year though. Hopefully, it helped!
