- Runs from July 1-Aug 15, 2015

- I hope to write an update post on my blog after each part (I, II, III) just to see how we are doing.
Suggested Read By Dates:
Part I by July 15 (approx 300 pages)
Part II by July 31 (approx 320 pages)
Part III by August 15 (approx 450 pages)

Book Chatter 
I haven’t read this, enjoy the readalong, I look forward to seeing what you think of Atlas Shrugged.
I think it will be a very controversial read so it should give us lots to discuss!
I am ready to start! I’ll be pulling out my copy of it tonight. I can’t wait to read this one again to see if I love it as much the second time around. Good luck to everyone!
I have this weird mix of feelings going int it. I am worried about its size, the fact that it’s so controversial and my fear of the event being a total bomb. I hosted a read along for Moby Dick once and it was like sticking pins into my eyes, it was just so painful. BUT, I am going into this with a positive mind because I really, really loved The Fountainhead.
I think you will be okay on participation. It is an intimidating book, but only if we let it be that. I, for one, am never worried about the size of the book. Besides, this is one story that does suck you in almost immediately. While it drags for parts, the question of who is John Galt is a powerful motivating force to keep reading.
Good to know. The size of a book doesn’t intimidate me either but I know it’s a concern for some. Did you know there was a movie? It has Taylor Shilling in it from Orange is the New Black.
Yes. I believe it was produced by the company owned by Brad and Angelina. I think it is in either two or three parts too. I have it in my Netflix queue but have never gotten around to watching it.

The size of a book doesn’t bother me either Ti. I like sinking my teeth into something longer every once in a while. I’m going to start later today but I’m thinking I should probably get the eBook so I can try to follow along with the schedule since I’m listening to the audio. I always regretted not finishing it with my bookclub so I’m bound and determined to succeed this time around!
I wonder if the audio would note when part two begins. I broke it up in parts 1-3 so if it’s clear, then audio would still work.

It usually does say when a new chapter or part begins so hopefully this one does. If not I’ll try to piece it together from the book although that might be a bit hard too as I don’t think eBook pages are the same. Oh well I’ll wing it somehow. lol.
