Christmas 2010: Happiness to All

Christmas Tree 2010

Our tree.

Rudy. Made by a friend years ago. Isn’t he sweet?

Prince Charming

Prince Charming. I bought him a few years back. Can you see the tiny fly on the end of his tongue?

Snow Filled Ornament

If you look closely, you can see my reflection in that purple bulb.

There are lots and lots of homemade ornaments but I didn’t take photos because the kids, mainly The Girl, wanted me to take photos of all of hers and not just one or two. I’d need several more posts to cover them all. So I opted for just a few of my faves that I’ve picked up over the years.

Most of all though, I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas. This time of year means so much to me and this year, due to some tough times, and some issues that I am still not 100% in the know on, I lost a few close friends. In one sense I am incredibly sad, but in another, I have hope for a very happy new year.

All of you reading this know how much I value my friends and I consider each and every one of you, a very dear friend. Thanks so much for making 2010 a very special year. Here’s to a wonderful 2011!

  1. Wow, what a beautiful tree! I especially love the third ornament! (and of course the great purple one with the image of the person on it!) Merry Christmas to you, Mr. T, Girl, and Boy! :–)

    1. Jill,

I hope you guys had a nice Christmas. I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted to. Not with the Disneyland trip, etc. I hope to fix that this week.

2011 is going to be a great year. I can feel it.

    1. The days leading up to Christmas were great. Even the rain can’t take the magic out of Disneyland. We went on the worst day and it ended up being the BEST trip. I have to write up an update.

As for Christmas, family drama galore!! I’m so over it.

Hope you had a nice Christmas!!

    1. I hope you had a nice Christmas, Nicole. I am just now catching up on emails and trying (really trying) to make a dent in my reading pile.

      Here’s to a great 2011!!

    1. Are you still in the land of tropical drinks and cabana boys? I thought of you many times when I was getting drenched at Disneyland.

    1. Frances,

I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We spent time with family and friends. It always goes by too fast but I have one more week before returning to work so I hope to make a dent in my reading pile.

      Happy New Year to you!

    1. Florinda,

I have to catch-up on my blog reading but I hope the arm is doing well, and that you had a nice Christmas in spite of it.

    1. I hope you had a nice Christmas, Amy. I am off this week and trying to get some serious reading done. Nothing but good stuff but with the kids home, I find myself a tad distracted.

      Here’s to a great 2011!

  2. I love your tree and the ornaments are very cute. You know that I LOVE ornaments that have a story behind them:)

Hope you had a great Christmas. Hope you are all dried out too. We are waiting on snow, can you believe it? I leave Cincy and the snow comes to SC!

I will be getting a lot of reading done.

    1. I absolutely loved the photos you shared on FB. The rain has stopped here. We have sun and blue skies but it’s on the cool side. I love it when it’s like this!

Today we went to exchange a few things, I managed to finish a book and now I am throwing dinner together. The time just flies by. Doesn’t it?

  3. Merry Christmas to you and your family Ti! I love Christmas trees filled with ornaments full of memories. That’s how ours is even though my son is now a bit embaressed of his preschool ornamaents…they’re my faves.:)

    1. I know! The pre-school ornaments are my fave, too. The Girl made a card for us this year and forgot to give it to us. She just gave it to us yesterday and it brought me to tears. It was so darn SWEET. I may try to take a pic of it. It will definitely be framed.

  4. Merry Christmas to you and your family and I hope that 2011 is everything you hope it to be. Looking forward to “reading” with you!!!

    1. I hope you had a lovely Christmas. I am just now getting back to the computer so I’ll be catching-up over the next day or so.

      Here’s to a fantastic 2011!

  5. Ti, I’m so sorry to hear about the tough times. I hope you were able to still have a good Christmas with the family and I’m wishing you a fabulous 2011! I’m so glad to “know” you and hope we actually get to meet someday! 🙂 Thanks for all of your great blogging!

  6. Ti, that truly rots about the friendships this year – I went through some rought patches with some of mine. I’m positive that 2011 will be a much better year for us all. Hope you and your lovey family had a fantastic Christmas!! Loved the ornaments, especially the frog one – I love frogs 🙂

    1. It amazes me how much things can change within a year. As you said though, 2011 is going to be a much better year with a lot LESS drama 🙂

  7. I finished A Suitable Boy this morning. The ending is good but the story only needed to be 400-500 pages… the author must hae been shooting for a longest book credit.

Did you officially bail? If yes I will share the ending 🙂
