The Countdown Has Begun

I am sitting in my car, posting from my phone so I have no idea how this post will look, but The Boy leaves for his DC school trip tomorrow night and he is not packed yet.

Why?

Because he had cross country camp today and now he is locked up for a 3.5 hour rehearsal for the show.

I have my list and will be packing his bag as soon as I get home but I sure wish we had a bit more time to do this. Tomorrow morning I have to work, the Girl is getting an award (Ack!) And he has cross country camp again!

Tomorrow night, when I am supposed to be seeing him off, I apparently have a mandatory parent meeting for basketball!

Yes, I could send The Hub, but think hard. Good idea? Uh, no but that is probably what will happen. He is not good at collecting information and bringing it back. I have no choice though. I have to see the kid off.

I am a little crazy right now.

The Sunday Salon: I Am Not Going to BEA, but That’s Okay

Sunday Salon

Book Expo America seems like a fun event to attend, and so many of you are in New York right now for the big event, but once again I find myself unable to go. Money, time and the fact that The Boy is leaving for his DC trip this Thursday. Those are the main reasons and the others have to do with my hatred of crowds and pushy people. However, it would be so nice to finally meet those who I have been conversing with for well over two years now and in some cases, four! Someday.

This weekend has been uneventful. I’ve spent much of it picking up last minute items for The Boy’s trip. Five days in DC…sigh. I am going to be a nervous wreck. He’s not one to check-in with me regularly but I’ve voiced my concern over that so hopefully he will try harder. Sometimes, those Smart phones are just useless in that they die way to soon. Before the end of the day, with constant use (picture taking and the like) they end up dying. They need to come out with better batteries for those things.

Today, I am just running more errands and doing laundry. So exciting! I just finished The Age of Miracles. Hmmm. I have to think about that one more before writing the review. I also finished Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. Not sure what I plan to read next but there are about eight galleys on my Kindle that I need to get to.

Dinner is leftovers because I don’t feel like cooking a thing! What are you up to?
