The Sunday Salon: Return to Reality

Sunday Salon

Today is my last day of freedom. Tomorrow, back to work I go. It’s been a wonderful eighteen days. I got to spend a lot of time with my kids, reading, relaxing, cooking and SLEEPING! I swear, I look at least ten years younger. The Hub had to work short weeks, but when he was home, we watched a lot of movies and it really felt nice to just stay home.

Tomorrow will be another story. I’ll need lots of distraction just to get through the day which I’m sure will start with a big pot of coffee and lots of catching up with the co-workers I actually missed. No matter how positive a spin I put on it, I just dread the return!

But for today, I am just going to enjoy this last day of doing nothing. I made chili the other day which we will enjoy again tonight. Green Bay won, so the Hub was happy. We’ll munch on hot artichoke dip, watch another movie and I will dip in and out of Flight Behavior which started off with a bang and just kept going.

Oh! And I finished Light Between Oceans and it was wonderful. Review to come soon.

Okay, so I am off to enjoy the day. Hope you all have a fabulous Sunday and if you see me online via Twitter or Facebook tomorrow, stop by to say “Hi” because it will be most appreciated.

2012 in Review: Top Commenters and Top Posts

I hardly ever look at stats but WordPress created this awesome report and is allowing me to share it! Thank you top commenters and everyone else who stops by this blog.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 75,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
