The Rest of It:

I really enjoyed this one. It’s geared towards the 9-12 group but as the story unfolds, you are asked to visit a website and provided with a secret password to view Sarah’s videos to Ryan. The videos are creepy!! I got spooked many times (think Blair Witch) so even though I am way past the target age range I still managed to get into the story.

My son refused to read the book as he was being a PILL but he was looking over my shoulder during the video clips, so I suspect that he will pull the book out and read it on his own within the next couple of days.

Skeleton Creek is the first book in a series. Ghost in the Machine is the next book and it comes out in October! Just in time for Halloween.

My mini read-a-thon continues…

I finished Skeleton Creek and will probably review it tomorrow.

I am almost done with The Danish Girl but need to break from it again. This time I am picking up The Angel’s Game. I started to read it a couple of weeks ago but had too much going on so I could not devote enough time to it. I’ll make up for that today.

On a non-book note, I had a Mommy Dearest moment over lunch when both of my kids refused to eat what was placed before them. Now I get the “not liking a certain food” bit but these were foods that they asked for. I go out of my way to make things that they like and all it has done, has taught them to be incredibly picky. So they were sent to their rooms where my son called the Hub to tell him that I was “torturing him.” Yep, those were his words. TORTURE I tell you!

Then the little one somehow fell off the toilet and hit her head on the sink. I thought it was a ploy to get attention from me but right now she is nursing a HUGE bump on her noggin. It’s really a huge bump. I keep checking her eyes for dilation.

So now that things have settled down a bit, I am ready to sit down to my book. I think.
