Sunday Matters: Hello, All

Sunday Matters, a latte on a wooden tray against greenery.

Guys, it’s been difficult to keep up with everything (this blog, work, reading), literally everything. That’s why I wanted to be sure to post today.

Right Now:

Heading to student ministry. I’m giving the message today. With the recent addition of 5-6th grade, the message content is a little different and to be honest, it’s hard to wrap my brain around it. It’s all new. Different. It’s a matter of time.

This Week:

Nothing. Keeping my schedule blissfully empty intentionally.

Reading:

I’m reading Red Pill for book club. It’s very interesting. A lot to think about.

Watching:

Haven’t started it yet but the final season of Squid Game is what I plan to kick back with tonight.

Grateful for:

It’s been such a crappy month but gonna find stuff to be grateful for:

Daughter comes home at the end of July.
Summer camp is coming up July 7th. It’s exhausting but will be a wonderful reset for my soul.
My little Otter Pup’s bday is July 4th. The day we gave her as a rescue. She’s old and can’t get around well but she is still the sweetest.
Good friends who look out for me.

Love you. Be patient with me as I recalibrate.

  1. It’s good to see you when we see you. Sounds like you have haf a lot going on, as always, but I’m glad to see that you also are giving yourself time with nothing planned.

    1. Thanks. I am trying. This wrench thrown into my work space has kept me buzzing. I don’t mind work. Especially creative work but I can only do so much on my own. I am a one person team.

  2. Don’t think I’ve ever heard of Red Pill, I’ll check it out.

We all need to  recalibrate from time to time.

Love you too, and you’re adorable Otter Pup!

Give her a belly rub for me please and thank you!

    1. Re: Otter Pup. I will. She is really having a bad week. Her bday is this Friday, after last night I am wondering if she will make it. All of my pets have died on a holiday. She is not uncomfortable, but not there. Not present. Sigh. So hard. I go to summer camp next week and I fear that she will pass then, when I am gone. Hope not.

      1. I’m praying she gets better. I’m mush when it comes to animals, especially dogs. I’m a big mess if my animals act like they don’t feel good. I call the vet and see if I should bring them in or if she just wants me to do certain things. Thankfully she has a lot of animals and understands.

        How is she doing now?

        1. Last night she was eating and drinking and walking all over. Every time I think it’s the end she rallies. I know it’s mostly an age thing with her and just like the best of us, some days are harder than others.

  3. I’ve not heard of Red Pill or its author. I looked it up and it sounds intriguing.

I’ll bet you’re excited that your daughter will be home in a few weeks. How long will she be in CA?

Take all the time you need to recalibrate, Ti. Life gets busy and the world is absolutely insane right now, so take care of yourself. Big hugs to you.

    1. Thanks, friend!! I appreciate those words of wisdom.

My daughter will be here from the end of July to possibly November. She hopes to move to NYC by then but that will depend on how well she saves and what film work she gets.

The world is nuts. No accountability for any of it. Detention Camps in Florida now. Built on our dime. Why do we pay Fed taxes when we will get nothing in return for it?

  4. Ti, I also encourage you to take your time and care for yourself. We’ll all be around when you get a chance to update a bit. Fun that your daughter will be home for a bit. Hugs to you from me as well.

    1. Thank you. I appreciate those kind words. Reading is what grounds me so I’ve been off a little bit because of the lack of it. I plan to take it in stride. Reading goals are put aside for now.

  5. Work sounds crazy for you now, so sorry. Just take care of yourself. And that’s great your daughter will be home this month! It’s good to reset. You have Otter Pup … our old dog’s bday is July 3rd … she’ll be 13 … Stella is our lifeline, so we are taking extra care of her. Happy 4th.

    1. Thank you!! I am going to be very sad when it’s time to say goodbye to the Otter Pup. She had another rough day yesterday.

  6. I’m glad you posted, I think it helps us slow down and think of what’s been going on. And, it’s always nice to hear what you’re up to.

My daughter will be home for a bit some time this summer, too. I haven’t seen her since December so am really looking forward to it!
