I have been flying through books lately! It feels good to finally put a dent in my reading list. Not only that, but I’ve been turning right around and reviewing them too which is great since the details don’t stay with me all that long these days.
Right Now:
The high school students are back from camp so there is a student service today. Can’t wait to hear all their camp stories.
This Week:
Nothing huge planned for this upcoming week. Sticking close to home for Independence Day. We will probably grill something. Independence Day is really the only day I crave a hot dog. Mainly because of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating contest. This year, Joey Chestnut was banned due to an endorsement conflict of interest so he’s out of the running.
Reading:
Finishing up The Summer Club. Next up, possibly The Return of Ellie Black.
Grateful for:
Breakfast, out. It’s my favorite meal of the day and I just love going to breakfast.
Glad you have your reading mojo back! I’m the same way about reviewing–if I don’t do it the day or two after I finish my book, the details escape me! I have gotten better with jotting down thoughts and opinions to include in my review as I’m reading, which helps.
I love the cover art for The Summer Club. Looking forward to you review of that one!
I just downloaded the Return of Ellie Black, and hope it is a good one.

I am always so content when I’m flying through books and my reading life is in a good place. It definitely is not at times. The McKinnon book looks good and especially for summer. I also love breakfast out and my husband and I just got back from doing that. He’s playing in a golf tournament this weekend and his tee time is later. Hope you have a good week, Ti, and I’m so happy to see you posting and seeming ‘yourself’ these days. 🙂
So glad to hear that you are reading voraciously! I love that. We have no solid plans for the 4th because it’s supposed to rain. My daughter may have a friend over, but that’s probably it.
I haven’t been reading too much. Mostly audio these days, but I think that’s because we’re running around in summer swim mode with 1-2 meets per week, plus practices.
I’m not usually into audio books but this latest King one reads so well on audio. I am really loving my commute these days. You Like It Darker is a collection of stories but some are so good, I hope he expands them into novels.
Breakfast out is a good thing. In particular, I like breakfast out at a diner.
Yes!! Diner breakfast is the best!!
