Summer Book Festival: Saturday, June 18, 2011

Eaton Canyon Nature Center

If you are local to me or live anywhere near Pasadena, California, you might be interested in Eaton Canyon’s Summer Book Festival! It takes place on Saturday, June 18, 2011,  from 9:30am-3:30pm and it’s FREE!

I know lots of  you are looking for fun, inexpensive things to do with the kids so maybe this is something you can check out. They’ll be author talks, presentations, book signings, story telling and crafts for the kids!

Looks like a pleasant way to spend the day if you ask me! Maybe you can even work a hike in there somewhere!

  1. Okay, I may actually be in the area for this. I’m hoping I can work this in. Though I hike would be out. We’re in town for a 50th Anniversary party and to start packing my Mother-in-law to move down and move in with us. (Yes, she’s moving in with us and don’t get me started on this). This could be the start of a nice day.

    1. I am going to try to hit it too. We have the puppy now, who cannot be left at home for great lengths of time by herself so if we can make it work, we will. I love nature centers and any kind of book festival is always right up my alley.   Your MIL is moving in? Oh my… you will need some good reading distractions.

  2. Thanks for the mention – I missed the LATFoB, and I realize this is on a much different scale, but it might be fun to check this out (and hopefully meet up with you there)!

  3. This looks interesting.. I might want to drop by. I’d be kind of interested in hearing Ed Begley Jr. speak as well (and a hike doesn’t sound so bad either)!
