I signed-up for Plinky some time ago but have never answered any of the questions on this blog. If you are not familiar with Plinky, check it out. New bloggers might find it useful in creating content for their blog. I know that when I was brand new to blogging, I often felt like I had very little to say or that I was talking to the ether (well, I was). Anyway, today’s question, which I just had to answer is:
If you could be a character from any book you’ve read, who would you be?
Honestly, there are so many characters out there that I have fantasized about at one time or another, but being? That’s an entirely different game. The one that easily comes to mind is Lisbeth Salander. I know, you can’t picture me in dark make-up and leather but let’s forget about the clothes for a moment and the unpleasant things that she has had to endure. She kicks ass. Hands down. The ability to “take care of business” and to do it in such a dramatic fashion. Wow. Plus, she’s smart but not in an obvious way and lately, she’s rather well off.

Who would you be?
I want to be Bella eating a veggie burger in the diner with her dad…
Patty, I can totally see you doing that too 🙂
I love Plinky…terrific…one more thing for me to spend time on…thanks, Ti…
I am having a hard time coming up with one. Maybe Marian Halcombe from Wilkey’s The Woman in White.
Hmmm…Lisbeth would be high on my list as well. First I want to be able to kick ass and only weigh 88 pounds. Second, I want to know how to hack millions of dollars from rich meglomaniacs. No other female characters come instantly to mind. Maybe Stephanie Plum, only so I could get my hands on Ranger?
I like her too! She’s one of my favorite female characters of all-time. Definitely an interesting choice–not sure I’d want to be her, but I do love her. hehe
It would be scary to be her, for sure. There just aren’t that many strong females that come immediately to mind. She’s a stand-out!
What? I thought you wore dark make-up and leather all the time! LOL
Kathy! You weren’t supposed to tell! LOL.
I want to be Lisbeth Salander too. She scares me, but I would love to have her attitude and chutzpah once in a while.
I’ve never heard of Plinky before but I’m going to look into it — thanks for mentioning it.
Being Lisbeth Salander would be scary! The situations she faces freak me out when I think of having to go through them myself.
Sookie Stackhouse. And having Bill and Eric fight over me.
I’m with you … I answered a form of this question awhile back and I wanted to be Lisbeth Salander too. She just appeals to my need to be a kick-ass heroine sometimes, which is so wildly far from who I am in real life.
I remember your post too. I loved the super-imposed Jenners. I’m not crafty that way.
Well, clearly it’s time for me to pick up this book series so I will know what all the excitement about Lisbeth is about!
