The Sunday Salon – November 9, 2008

This is a little late, but hey, it’s still Sunday so I’m good. I’ve been very busy this weekend. I’ve been making lists and doing a bit of shopping which took up much of the weekend. In between it all I also managed to get quite a bit of reading done. It was wonderful.

While out shopping, I convinced myself that I need a Nikon D60. I have a wonderful Canon point-and-shoot but I have been wanting to get a bit more creative and I cannot decide if I want to go Canon again, or Nikon. Suggestions? Pros or cons?

Today at rehearsal for the holiday show, my daughter spent much of the time lip syncing all of the songs. She can’t read all of the lyrics so she just moves her mouth. My son was mortified. Pretty funny to watch. Should be really funny come show time if she has not learned the words by then.

  1. Better late than never! My Sunday Salon last week was on Monday, but oh well. Your daughter’s story reminds me of being in choir in highschool–I got laryngitis before a big concert, and the director told me to just mouth “apple, banana” or something like that.

  2. I’ve really enjoyed my Canon PowerShot A710 – especially the built-in image stabilizer. I always have a hard time holding a camera still when shooting, and in the past I always ended up with blurry photos. I have a little Nikon, too, but it’s really too complicated to get much use out of.

  3. I had a Canon and it was ok but I bought a Nikon Coolpix last year and it’s awesome. Much better pictures and the camera has some really great options-some I still haven’t found out about. lol.
