2014 in Review

I am horrible at keeping track of stuff but WordPress does it for me. Since I am back at work and catching up on email, my posting probably won’t return to normal until next week. Top commenters, thank you.

Here are some interesting tidbits:

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 57,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 21 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Sunday Matters: One Last Hurrah

Sunday Matters

Work. Meh. I have a few more days to ponder it but it’s never easy to return after a long break. I feel like I am all hungover. My sleep patterns are all over the place and my body is off, but in a good way.

I’ve eaten stuff I don’t normally eat, visited with family that I don’t normally see and have watched movies with abandon. It’s been wonderful. As I look at the calendar, I realize that I have less than a week to read my book club book, and a little more than that to read the tour book I signed up for.

That eye/headache mess. Phffft.

Right Now:

I am on my stomach, in bed, typing this out, waiting for the house to heat up before I venture downstairs for coffee. As soon as it gets warm enough, I’ll get ready for church. The Girl does not want to go which means it will be a perfectly pleasant morning dragging a sulking tween around.

This Week:

I return to work on Wednesday. I purposely took the extra days to not have to deal with MONDAY. But rehearsals start-up again this week so it will almost be like a regular week. I need all of your good thoughts for Wednesday because when you have this much time off, you really start to think that big changes are needed. You know?

I am reading It Was Me All Along, written by a blogger I follow. I didn’t have an elaborate way of picking my first books this year. It had to do with what I was behind on because of this headache and all the stuff that came with it. It’s very heartfelt. I am enjoying it. It’s about her obsession with food. Which is just perfect to read at the beginning of the year after all of the excesses enjoyed over the holidays.

I watched The Great Gatsby and it really was a visual masterpiece. I snuck August: Osage County in while purging my shelves. It was full of tension, that one. Which made it great to watch while chucking books into a box. Thwack! Thwack! I really liked American Hustle. Enough to want to see it again. I just got The Hundred-Foot Journey from Netflix so I hope to watch that today.

Nothing. Yet. I did make spaghetti and meatballs the other night, along with a really good pot-roast but the cupboards are bare again. I will hit the market on my way home from church. Fun! With The Girl in tow, and all. The Hub won’t be too thrilled either. We all hate grocery shopping.

Grateful for:

A few extra days with my kids.

Happy Thought For the Week:

Friday. I am already looking forward to it.
