All good things come to an end. Who came up with that saying anyway? My two, blissful weeks off have sadly come to an end and my body is rebelling in a big way. My sleep patterns are off so my wake patterns are out of whack which means I am completely unstable at any point in time. What a way to start the week! It will take me a few days to become normal again. Sigh.

Here’s my week:

Monday, January 5, 2009 – My last day off from work. I am taking my son to the hospital for his surgical procedure. We are due at the hospital at 5am. That’s pretty early and he is really nervous but all will be fine and I will post an update later. I’ll have Twilight with me to read in the waiting room and maybe Loving Frank too because I am almost finished with Twilight and don’t want to be left “bookless.”

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 – First day back at work. Blech. I had a meeting but it was cancelled. Good thing. Most of the day will be spent updating my calendar and cleaning out my inbox. I will probably have to act on one or two items. Will renew my membership at the gym today too.

Wednesday, January 7, 2009 – I have a short meeting this morning. It shouldn’t be too bad but then I have a longer meeting later this afternoon right after lunch. That one is a bit more involved as we are trying to set-up some defaults for a new software package that will be implemented within the next month or so. I hope to have my review of Twilight posted sometime today. Probably not even necessary since everyone and their brother knows about the book but I’ll post one anyway. Kidlet #1 has rehearsal tonight if he is feeling better so that may mean some “reading in the car” time for me.

Thursday, January 8, 2009 – Nothing much going on at work but tonight my book group is meeting at Borders. We normally meet at the library so we get really excited when we meet at the bookstore. We are like kids in a candy store. We’ll be discussing Cane River, which I did not care for. I don’t think I was in the right mindset to read it but my review is posted here. I’ll let you know what the group thinks of it.

Friday, January 9, 2009 – Should be a slow day at work which is good because I am leaving early to take Kidlet #1 to the Orthodontist. I hope to be out of the office no later than 2:15pm. I plan to spend the rest of the evening with Loving Frank. Literate Housewife is discussing this book for her Facebook book club so I need to get on the stick and get it read, pronto! The Weekend: My husband and son are going to see Monster Trucks on Saturday night so the girly girl and I may do some girl things. I don’t think I have anything going on on Sunday so it’s rest time!
