Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a random page
3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! 😉
Here are my teasers for today…
“I could have been the friend he needed—he could have been the friend I need…I have considered suicide but…I could not do that. But there have been times when I’ve wished that somoene else would do the job.”
Prayers for Bobby by Leroy Aarons
First of all, I thought today was Wednesday but after taking a look at my reader, I see that it is in fact Tuesday as my reader is filled with Teaser Tuesday posts. I haven’t done these in awhile so I thought I’d play.
TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12. Okay, I shared a bit more than that.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!
“The ebony clock concluded its striking. It was midnight. It was 1848. Men used their knives to slash through the black-dyed walls and strips of wind-tormented canvas were immediately whipped into the flames and torches and tripods out on the ice. Flames leapt skyward and almost immediately engaged the rigging.”
The Terror by Dan Simmons.
I’ve just started the book but I can tell that it’s going to be a very intense read.
