Life – These Days

It’s been eight weeks since my brain surgery and I feel that recovery from that went well, but then on Valentine’s day I ended up in the ER because of severe leg pain and shortness of breath.

Pulmonary embolism is no joke. My right lung was rendered useless from blood clots and because of my recent brain surgery they had to go very low dosage on the blood thinners and continue to check my brain for bleeds so I earned a three day stay at the hospital.

I am now at home and on blood thinners for the next three months. Hoping to regain my lung capacity and get my strength back. After all the heart tests it looks like my heart is okay but working hard to compensate for the lack of oxygen so I am on that too.

This recovery has been hard. I tend to not know what day it is and the days are soooooo long. NO reading either. Just too unfocused.

Just wanted to pop in for an update because it just hit me how long it’s been since my last post. Hopefully my next update will find me in a much better place.

Life Update

Many of you know of my mobility issues of the past two years. It’s been difficult to get a doctor to listen to me. Specialists kept blaming my autoimmune disorders, or even long covid at one point. I finally convinced a doctor that I might possibly have MS so she ordered MRIs.

My MRI this past Monday revealed a 6cm brain tumor. They think it’s benign but won’t know until they go in. I need two surgeries. One to sever blood supply to the tumor and then weeks later its removal. For those interested, here is the scan.

I need to come off of one medication before they will operate so I am looking at mid-January, early February.

I’ll take all the prayers and good thoughts you have. Thank you.
