A Little Update

Hello, friends!! I miss you all so much. I’m still struggling a little bit. I keep reminding myself how bad off I was say, two months ago, because it’s important for me to see progress in my recovery. But I keep getting sidelined by unexpected complications.

I’m still being treated for that pulmonary embolism that hit on Valentine’s day, but the treatment for that has caused some internal bleeding. I’m waiting for my CT scan to see if I can come off of that treatment. But that scan isn’t until mid-May.

As for the craniotomy recovery, I feel that is going well. I return to the office on April 16th, barring any surprises that come up.

I’m close to getting back into reading. I feel it. But anytime I pick up a book I quickly lose interest. That’s not typically like me.

I hope you are all well. I think once I get back to a normal day-to-day routine I will be on here more. Miss you!

  3. Good to hear from you, Ti! I’m sorry you are experiencing further complications, but it sounds like you are on the mend. I hope you aren’t in any pain from the internal bleeding. Ugh. You’ve really been through it, haven’t you?

When do you get to see your kids again? I’ll bet you miss them.

We’re on a road trip down to the Santa Rosa area. So happy to see blue skies and have warmer temps. It’s been such a long, rainy winter in Oregon!

Take good care. You’ve been missed!

    1. Hi there!!! My daughter wants to come out for a week in July. My husband is going to Seattle to visit my son over Father’s Day weekend. I can’t fly yet so visits will have to wait.

Most days I am doing just fine but then about one day a week I am out sorts.

  4. I hope the next few weeks go quickly, that you are able to return to work (well, at least part time), and that the scans in May show improvement.

You’ve had such a long slog of this but you will get to a place where you feel better.

  5. Ti, so glad to see an update from you! I’ve been thinking of you and hoping things were going well. My prayer is that your life will be more normal, but I’m so happy that your recovery is progressing.

  6. Thank you for the update. Please take care of yourself. This is going to be a recovery that tests you, and if you can focus on the progress you are making, you will be ok. Hugs and positive vibes to you.

Reading will come back to you in time.
