It’s been a really long time since I’ve posted but it couldn’t be helped. The Music Man wrapped two Sundays ago and I came down with whatever was floating around backstage. Many of the performers fell ill during the show. The Boy recovered enough to perform. I think I got the antibiotics into him just in time but with everyone else coughing and spitting and spewing (yes, there was spewing) I caught everything and ended up in bed for a week. I am still recovering. No energy. I’ve lost over 15 lbs and here I am at work again.
It’s been years since I’ve been sick like this but I haven’t been able to do a darn thing. No reading. No posting, No visiting blogs. Everything hurts too much. Plus, I was alerted to a possible issue with my family in the middle of all of this and now THAT is weighing heavily on my mind. But, I think in another week I should be pretty good. Once I am, I’ll share a few of the pics that I was able to snap of the show. Cameras are not allowed backstage and of course photography isn’t allowed during the show itself so I only have a few, but I’ll share them soon.
One thing I totally forgot about was picking a winner for my The Lost Art of Mixing giveaway! The winner is… Diana Mack! I sent you an email!
So please excuse me this next week. I’ll be playing catch-up as I have over six reviews to write and post and I want to spend some time catching up with my favorite blogs too as I feel totally out of the loop.
I’ve been thinking about you and was concerned you were hit with whatever’s going around especially since you were on a crazy treadmill of a schedule. Thank you for posting an update, it’s a relief to know you’re on the mend. I hope you’ll take it easy. Did the pup keep you company while you were laid up?
I’m looking forward to the photos you have. Congratulations to the boy on doing his part. He’s quite a trooper.
Positive and prayers for you and for your family. I hope any potential problems are easily resolved and all are well.
The Otter Pup never left my side. She sat right on top of me most days and did her little chuffing thing to see if I was breathing 🙂 She is exhausted now though and can’t sleep enough.
I am glad that you are feeling good enough to not only post on Facebook but also here. I look forward to the reviews and photos of the play/actors! I hope all works out with the other issue you mentioned. It’s hard being the mom and then getting so sick you cannot do anything.
Good Lord Ti. I am so sorry you have been this sick. And whatever other news you got does not help either. I’ll send you some thoughts of spiritual and physical healing!
Thank you. I’ll take ’em.
So sorry you’ve been sick, Ti. I hope the family issues are resolved quickly and positively, too… take care of yourself!
So sorry to hear you have been so miserably sick. You have to mend. Too many great books coming for spring.
I’ve been thinking about you and hoping that you feel better soon. I know how wicked that flu is. I think this has been a bad year all around for a lot of people with it and I certainly haven’t seen it this bad in years. Anyhow I’m looking forward to you getting back to things but first take care of yourself and worry about the rest later.
Thanks. It realized while in bed how the flu could easily take out an entire town. I never did understand it before, but I understand it now.
Take care…don’t over do…I wish I could help!
Ti, I am so sorry to hear that you are sick. I know how that can be, and it sounds like it is taking a toll on your body. Please be careful, and know that we will be here whenever you are ready. Don’t stress about being out of the loop. I am too.
Thanks, Heather! I hate being out of the loop though. I was offline for a week and I had a friend die, my nephew’s wife had the baby and this lunatic cop killer is on the loose. I feel so lost.

I was knocked out by the flu for 2weeks last year it took forever to bounce back.take care of yourself you still need to heal.
Missed you! WIshing you much sunshine after so many clouds.
Ugh, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been suffering with that crud. I hope you’re 100% soon.
So sorry to hear you’ve been so sick, Ti…there’s nothing worse than spewing! 😦 Glad you’re starting to feel better–continue to mend. Keeping you in my prayers.
Thanks so much.
I hope you feel better soon. Being sick totally sucks. I am beginning to feel the beginnings of something weird in my throat and I hope it doesn’t develop into anything worse. It’s THAT season, I guess.
That’s how this started. A weird feeling in my throat and then a full blown sore throat that lasted for weeks. Gargle like heck. Take extra C. Drink lots of hot water. You do not want this!
People are dropping like flies and it seems there are 4 different things going around: bronchial; the world’s nastiest flu; norovirus (vomiting); and the fever but not a flu (that’s what I got, thank goodness). But, I have been home all day with my daughter who has a head cold, ear infection and vomiting. Such good times. At least the throwing up has stopped.
Feel Better!
I sure hope you both feel better soon.
So sorry to hear! Take plenty of time getting back into the swing of things, so you don’t find yourself back in bed!
Feel better soon Ti. Take it slow and dont come back until you feel strong.
Feel better soon Ti – one thing after another for you:(
Glad to hear you are feeling better! The upside is look at all the weight you lost! Hope all works out with your family! Am interested to see what you think of The Sense of an Ending.
Man, it sounds like you all got hit with that nasty thing…sounds like you are on the mend though. Take it easy Ti!
I hope you feel better very soon. There are nasty bugs going around and sounds like you got a bad one. Take care.
That whole thing sounds terrible!! It’s been a long time since I’ve been that sick too…knock on wood! Hope that life quickly returns to normal. Sending positive thoughts on the family matter too!!!
Your presence has been missed. I hope you get back up on your feet and feeling like your ole self again soon. Take care!
Thank you. I still feel crappy but maybe a bit better than yesterday. I must because I just wrote three reviews. Something I haven’t done in WEEKS.
You did kindof go off the radar for a while, Ti. I’m glad you’re feeling better 🙂 Keep your head up 🙂 Hugs to you!!
I really did. I can’t even remember one week. You should have seen my house after a week of me being down. Good God! My husband means well, but that is all I will say.
Oh my goodness, that sounds like one serious illness! I am gald to hear you are feeling better now!
I guess everyone got a free cold bug with their ticket to the show. Hope you’re feeling better!
