It’s already MARCH. Unbelievable. As everyone prepares to attend bookish events on the East coast, us West Coasters are beginning to get excited over the L.A. Times Festival of Books which takes place April 24-25. Last year, I hooked-up with a bunch of local book bloggers and we had a great time. This year, we plan to do the same but I may not be able to go. The family business is moving in April and it’s quite possible that the move will fall on the same weekend as the Festival of Books. I sure hope not.
Another bookish event that is coming up very shortly is the Impatient with Desire book party. I am going to list the dates below in case anyone wants to attend. If you’ve heard of the book but don’t know much about it, you can read my review here, and you can check out the author’s website by clicking here. I am going to try to attend the March 26th event.

I’ve been reading about the LA Festival of Books and you’re so lucky to be able to go! I’m exited about the Tucson Festival this coming weekend but it’s about one tenth the size! :–) I hope your family matters don’t interfere with the meet-up!
I love bookish events! Enjoy!
You are making me very jealous… we do not have a book festival in Omaha 😦
These events are a lot of fun but adding bloggers to the mix make it SUPER fun. I sound like a nerd now
Forgive me, Ti, Ti, Ti. The nano second I sent it, I tried to retrieve but you don’t have a delete or edit. It’s early for me, and I’m already celebrating because today’s my official publication day. After all these years on the Donner Trail, I feel I have reached California.

I hope the move date doesn’t coincide with the festival! It wouldn’t be the same without you. As it is, I’m still not certain yet if I’ll be attending this year. Hubby’s excited that Ed Brubaker will be there and so he’s really hoping we’ll be able to swing it.
Oh how I wish there were a big book event coming to the midwest! Hope you get to go to the Festival!
Wendy’s right – the FoB won’t be the same without you (or her and Anjin, for that matter)! But if you can’t make it, we’ll have to plan something for those of us who will stay in LA and not go to BEA :-).
Excellent idea!
I’m going to attend the LA Times festival of Books this year. I’ve been traveling back and forth between SF and LA the past year and I have read about the event. I can’t wait! Thanks for posting the wonderful bookstores in LA area. I’m going to check out Book Soup in WeHo! 🙂
You are so fortunate to have these bookish events in your part of the country! I love bookish events but there aren’t many in my area. A book festival would be fabulous!
I hope you enjoy your bookish events! Have fun.
