The Sunday Salon: So, So Tired.

I’m a  little slow today. Last night was the Father/Daughter dance that I organized for the school and there were over 200 people there. Somehow, I screwed my hip up. No, it’s not because I was dancing like a fool or anything but I blame it on the large bag of ice that I grabbed from an angle. I twisted my hip somehow and my hip socket is on fire! I am sitting here watching the Superbowl right now and all I really want to do is go to bed with a large heating pad.

BUT…

The dance went swimmingly. Everyone had a good time and seeing all of those dads rocking out to Rock Lobster warmed my heart. Thank goodness it’s over though! I know how to throw a party but man, I sure stress over every little thing

Needless to say, this hasn’t been a typical Sunday. I’ve been limping around, eating football food and watching this very close game. Go Saints!!

  1. What an absolutely adorable picture! I bet your daughter will treasure that her whole life! I’m so sorry about your hip! I’ve done that a couple of times – somehow it goes back to where it is supposed to but I don’t remember how or how long it took! Hope you feel better soon!

  2. I love the picture you posted–what a treasure that will be to you when she is 16 or 21 or 30 years old! I am sorry to hear about your hip and hope it is better in the morning–so impressive that you planned that whole dance–like you, I stress over every little detail when I plan events. Are you a first born? I sure am! 😉 We were rooting for the Saints also, and I have happy boys at my house.

  4. There really is nothing more precious than daddies dancing with their daughters. Good for you for organizing such a big event! It takes it out of you. I have to go curl up in the back of my closet in a fetal position after I’m finished with the book fair! Hope your hip starts to feel better…
