The Folded World by Amity Gaige
Friday Finds is hosted by Should Be Reading.
Here’s the blurb from the publisher:
When Charlie Shade and Alice Bussard find each other, neither is prepared for the powerful, aching feeling of love that unites them. After falling for the cheerful and empathetic young man, Alice asks God: “Please, leave us alone. Leave us just like this.” But as their relationship evolves, and their family grows with the addition of twin girls, so too does Charlie’s career as a social worker. Drawn to people in crisis, Charlie struggles to remain neutral when dealing with the troubled souls he meets. But as boundaries begin to blur and temptations arise at work and at home, Charlie and Alice head toward an emotional collision that will challenge their marriage in ways they never thought possible.
I forget where I first saw this but it sounds like it’s filled with a lot of internal conflict. Isn’t the cover lovely? What did you find this week?

I hate to sound shallow, but I would buy that book based on the cover alone.
I’ll be the first to admit that a book’s cover sways me so you are not shallow.
Love the cover! I’m definitely drawn to it!
Believe it or not, but I saw this title and had dejavu, then looked at my HUGE TBR list and found it on there from like three years ago. It was very well-reviewed by EW when it first came out. It is one thing to read the review, write it down and move on, and it is something else to see that beautiful cover. I’m thinking I need to move it up on my priorities!
The cover is definitely awesome. Here’s my Friday Finds:

I agree the cover is lovely!
Here are my Friday Finds for this week: Friday Finds (2)
Love the cover. I guess I do judge books that way because I would buy this if I saw it at the store.
I am a bit of a snob when it comes to book covers. I try not to be but I am.
Sounds like it could be good. Love the cover – and I’ll be seeing a similar scene in my area probably in a month or so *sigh*
I like the cover. It reminds of Covalent Bonding in Chemistry!
Friday Find: Death of a River Guide by Richard Flanagan
The cover is very beautiful and eye-catching and the book sounds really good. I will have to add that to my list.
I do LOVE this cover. Now only if the story is just as great!!
Wow…this does sound like an amazing novel!
I didn’t even notice the cover. Shows you what kind of person I am. I like the plot. I’m a sucker for relationship and family drama books. We all have our own thing, don’t we.
I agree — the cover is very pretty! And it sounds like a terrific novel. I really like interesting, complex love stories.
The cover is beautiful! I would be happy to have the book just to display on my table! But the story promises all kinds of drama and sounds very intriguing and intense, which is something I like.
A wonderful find Ti, thank you!
The cover is so lovely and eye-catching!
I don’t know if the story would be up my alley, but that cover is incredibly gorgeous!
