Quick Update

Just quick surgery update. My son was released from “short stay” and is now home resting on the couch. The surgery went well and he did fine with the general anesthetic until they gave him a pain pill. Now he is as green as the couch he is laying on. Poor thing.

The hospital staff was very nice and super efficient which made his six hours there as pleasant as they could be. On a side note, his room was right next to Labor & Delivery and every time a baby was born, they played a lullaby to announce it. We heard quite a few lullabies! My son got a kick out of that, especially since his sister was born there over five years ago. Of course I regaled him with stories about how difficult his sis was, you know…to pass the time.

Anyway…back to my green boy.

  5. He’s not green anymore and doing much better! He actually called the school today to arrange for his homework to be picked-up. I thoguht that was odd but maybe a good sign!
