Why is it that five days off from work goes by so quickly? It seems like yesterday that I was driving home looking forward to my time off. UGH.
This morning is a bit up in the air for me. One of my in-laws spent the night last night and is leaving this morning. Not sure exactly when but it was a nice visit.
I am currently reading Forever Lily by Beth Nonte Russell. It’s about a mother and her experience with the adoption process in China. Actually, it’s about a lot more than that and I am loving it. It is beautifully written. I am about halfway through the book and hope to post the review by Monday…Tuesday at the latest.
This afternoon the kids have rehearsal and my hubby and I plan to do a bit more shopping until they are done. Their show is next week and I am not sure they are ready. I say this for every show and it ALWAYS comes together but I always have my doubts.
This evening… just plan to make a simple meal and enjoy some reading. Next week is incredibly busy for me so I really need the break to mentally prepare for it.
What do you have planned today?
Days off always do zip by in no time, that’s for sure. I’ve been trying to catch up with posting reviews today and I want to get some reading done too. We’re being bad tonight and going for KFC.
The week has flown by. Before we know it, Christmas will be here.
Forever Lily…I gave up on it. If only the editor had cut all the strange dream sequences….
I will have to read your review of “Forever Lily” I just happen to know someone who adopted her son from China 6 years ago. If you think it is good maybe I will recommend it to her. Try to think of from her point of view, from someone who has actually been through the process. Let me know if you think it would be a good read for her.
I know what you mean about mentally preparing for the week. And after having a few days off a whole week just seems way too long!
I read a not so good review of Forever Lily, so I am interested in yours.>>I’m doing a little sewing today, we’re about to finish up making dinner, and then I might get a chance to read before bed.
<>Forever Lily<> sounds fantastic, Ti. I’m a little envious that you’ve started on Christmas shopping. I am nowhere close to even THINKING about starting!>>Shana>< HREF="http://blog.literarily.com" REL="nofollow">Literarily<>
Looking forward to your review of FOREVER LILY. I just read it myself and really enjoyed it, but I have mixed feelings about it as all being “true.” But who am I to say?
