The Week Ahead: October 27 – November 2, 2008

I am really hoping to get a lot done this week. I’ve been so unfocused lately. Scattered. Lost. I know, where’s the violin? I’m not terribly frustrated by it all, but it’s not like me to be this way. Not for this long anyway. There are just so many things that I want to do that none of them get done and then I end up wondering why. Well, enough of that.

Oh! Don’t forget to enter my giveaway of Tethered. The contest closes on 10/30. Click here for details.

Here’s what’s going on this week:

Monday, October 27, 2008 – Not much going on at work. I have to catch-up on a few things but no meetings today. I’ve got yoga at noon (thank goodness). Tonight I have a PTO board meeting so my husband will be taking my son to rehearsal and then I will pick him up afterward. Lots of running around for sure. Will have to eat dinner in between all of that.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008 – I am way behind on putting my son’s costume together for The Music Man. He has a costume check coming up so I will be visiting the thrift store today at lunch to try to find some of the pieces. I can’t sew to save my life so whatever I get has to be hot glued together. I have handled six shows like this and it works out great. As for reading, should be finishing up Creepers, by Joanne Dahme tonight.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 – Hope to have my review of Creepers up sometime today. Yoga at noon. Meeting right after. After the meeting I am co-teaching a class with a co-worker. Um..have to fit lunch in here somewhere. My son has rehearsal tonight so that will give me some reading time. I will be starting The Inheritance of Loss tonight.

Thursday, October 30, 2008 – Taking a co-worker out for her 55th birthday today! She’s a good sport. We told her we had to take her somewhere that offered a senior discount. I know. Co-workers can be wicked at times. Co-teaching another class after lunch. Tonight, time to carve the pumpkins and roast the seeds. I love roasted seeds! We can’t carve them any earlier here without putting them in the fridge. It’s like 90 degrees this week!

Friday, October 31, 2008 – To those of you that celebrate it, Happy Halloween! I’m announcing the winner of Tethered today! I plan to leave work a bit early today so I can beat the traffic home. My husband is going to take my daughter to a few houses and then my son and I plan to hand out candy with one of his friends. I know my son will abandon me at some point so I plan to watch a scary movie in between the trick-or-treaters. I think it will be a late night since it’s landing on a Friday this time.

The Weekend – At this point we have absolutely nothing planned. I’ve been wanting to check out Victoria Gardens . It’s a huge shopping venue that I’ve visited once before, but I didn’t get to spend much time there. I would love to knock off a few Christmas gifts if possible.

  1. Ti, 90 degrees??? I’m completely envious. It isn’t cold here, but it’s not warm either and I’m sad about the end of summer. Can’t wait for your review of <>Creepers<>.

  2. sounds like a good week šŸ™‚I start back up with yoga on Friday — I can’t wait! I’ve been “limited” since my fall in June, and I’m ready to do whatever I can.I’ll look forward to your thoughts on *The Inheritance of Loss*. My book group read it earlier this year (I thought it was very sad/hopeless)
