Sunday Salon – October 19, 2008

Welcome! Welcome! Ahem…sort of groggy this morning. We went bowling last night. Not something I do regularly but I think I did pretty well. Okay, the kids may have done better than me but really, who is counting?

I’ve been keeping up with all the Read-a-Thon posts and I’m very impressed. A lot of pages have been read. I thought about participating this time around, but it would require quite a bit of planning on my part since there are kids in the house. Planning like, oh, sending them away for the day. Maybe next time. A day of reading does sound tempting.

Today I plan to finish reading Infidel and then I may crack open The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. I have to do this in between running more errands and taking the kids to a Kids Expo they heard about. It’s always a bit of a challenge to get it all in.

Have a good Sunday!

  1. I read Infidel earlier this year! What an interesting book. I’m anxious to hear what you think of it. I’m currently reading Tomato Girl and loving it! Happy Sunday!

  2. I’d love to read (or cheer) during the readathon in April. I have to find out the date and block it on our calendar.

  3. Ti, I really want to participate in the read-a-thon in April. I’m like you though: it would take a ton of planning and/or ingenuity to figure out how to do it with the kiddos.
