I cannot believe that we are in September now. Even though this weekend has been a warm one, I do sense a little bit of change in the quality of light. I feel a tinge of Fall. Here’s what going on this week:

Monday, September 1, 2008 – It’s Labor Day! We spent the day at a friends’ house. We swam, we ate, we swam some more. The kids are tired and so am I.

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 – Two meetings to go to. Don’t tell anyone but I am not a fan of meetings. Especially after a nice, long weekend. Reading some more of The Meaning of Night tonight. That is, if the kids get their homework done early enough.

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 – Working on an art project tonight. I do stamping on the side..for fun and I have been meaning to create these framed art pieces for my guest bathroom. I have all the stuff and I know what I am going to do so I plan to do it tonight. The colors are chocolate brown and tiffany blue and will be framed in white frames.

Thursday, September 4, 2008 – My book group meets tonight to discuss Mister Pip. It’s one of my picks so I am interested to see what everyone thinks.

Friday, September 5, 2008 – HaPpY BiRtHdAy to me! I am 40 years old today and taking the day off! My husband planned a surprise weekend trip. I have absolutely no idea what is in store for me. I do know it’s a family trip as I want to the celebrate with the kids too. I will post an update later and hopefully some pics too. What book should I pack? I could take The Meaning of Night as I know I won’t be done with it, or I could take Wife of the North. What do you think?

The Weekend – My birthday celebration continued. I will be back to reality by dinnertime on Sunday.
