The Week Ahead

These weeks are just flying by. Almost time to pull out the Halloween decorations and today I actually began my Christmas shopping. Sort of. I tried but did not find anything good.

Here is what the week has in store for me:

Monday, September 15, 2008 – The first day of BBAW (Book Blogger Appreciation Week). What an event! I am still toying with the idea of a giveaway. I have one scheduled for the week of 9/29 and I told that author it would be my first so I feel as if I shoud not post one until then, but you never know. Yoga class today at lunch. Must go as I missed last week due to work. Need to finish Greasy Rider tonight so I can post the review. Tonight is also the first rehearsal for The Music Man. This will be my son’s 6th show. He loves it and it is such a good group of kids. I love it too and I get to read during rehearsal time (if I am not helping).

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 – Will post my review of Greasy Rider. Need to address birthday invites for my daughters 5th bday. It’s her first big party where a ton of kids will be invited. Out here, we have to invite the entire class if she hands out invites during class so there will be a lot of kids for sure. I need to read at least 50 pages of The Meaning of Night from here on out or I won’t be done in time for next month’s book club. It’s over 700 pages. ‘Nuff said.

Wednesday, September, 17, 2008 – Technical consult at work and then Yoga again at lunch. Need to read another 50 pages of The Meaning of Night. Also have to order party stuff for kid #2.

Thursday, September 18, 2008 – I have to teach a class today in the AM and then I think I have lunch with a coworker but have to confirm as I forgot to pencil it in! Read more pages of The Meaning of Night. I am just so far behind!

Friday, September 19, 2008 – Nothing planned today! At least not right now. On second thought, my son has this book report that requires us to “act” it out in pictures. That means that I have to dress up as a gypsy with a crystal ball and my husband gets to be Sherlock Holmes. I need to record all of this in B&W for him to assemble and present. I LOVE that this teacher makes reading fun. We may use this free day to capture some of the photos. Probably a better use of my time than just sitting around.

The Weekend – I would really like to fit the County Fair in this weekend. We missed it last year. It was just too hot and too crowded. I do not do well in crowds. I get crabby. I know, extremely hard to believe!

Have a good week!
