Jill over at Fizzy Thoughts was kind enough to bestow upon me, this delightful Bookworm Award. Thank you Jill!

It requires me to:

Open the closest book to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56. Write out the fifth sentence, as well as two to five sentences following there.

The book that is closest to me is The Woman In White by Wilkie Collins.

“A Mamma, fair and fat; the Misses, fair and fat; two young Misters, fair and fat; and a Papa, the fairest and fattest of all; who is a mighty merchant, up to his eyes in gold-a fine man once, but seeing that he has got a naked head and two chins, fine no longer at the present time. Now mind! I teach the sublime Dante to the young Misses, and ah!-my soul-bless-my-soul!”

What the heck was that? Those are the strangest sentences I have ever read!
