Me? Crafty?

A long time ago, before the Rheumatoid Arthritis and even before the Lupus, I used to make handmade cards. They were fun to make and it was a very relaxing hobby.

These days, I’m not able to make them like I used to but once in awhile I will create one for a friend’s birthday or try to make a slew of them for Christmas.

Someone recently asked me to post a pic of one so here ya go! I am pretty sure it was Jennifer over at The Literate Housewife since she also makes cards and bookmarks and the like. This one happens to be for a friend’s birthday but she doesn’t read my blog so I should be okay posting it here.

So once in a great while, I CAN be crafty. Who’d have thought?

  1. That card is gorgeous. I enjoy making cards, but I’m not creative enough to come up with the idea – I have to copy someone else’s.

  2. Absolutely beautiful! I wish I was crafty 🙂 And I bet people love receiving a hand-made card. Too cool!!

  3. Ti! This is beautiful and I love the colors. I never really liked that stamp set until you posted this picture. Sometimes you just have to see something used in just the right way. I’m going to start a meme for stamping on Saturdays. I hope that you can participate when you’re able to. I didn’t know about your health conditions. Emma’s birth grandmother has RA and it is miserable.

  4. Ti, it’s lovely! I dabble a bit in the paper arts myself. Please, just try to adapt your projects to what you’re comfortable with, and don’t give it up completely.

  5. Ti, the card is beautiful. I know how you feel though. I’ve given up on cross stitching because I have trouble coordinating my hands now and knitting and crocheting is come and go-I can do it in little bits. I miss the days I could sit and knit all evening. I’m glad you can still do yours a little bit.

  6. Your card is gorgeous Ti. I love the colors. I didn’t know about your health issues and it sounds like it could be good therapy for that as well. I have supplies for making cards but just don’t do it often enough. I need to find some balance with my craft interests.

  7. Ti, I love your card! I love being creative. I have fibromyalgia and so I spend a lot of time having down time some days. So I read (obviously) and write and I am learning how to knit. Making cards is a great idea!

  8. Wow! Those are beautiful. I’d love to branch out into different crafts but it seems these days I don’t even have time to knit anymore.–Anna< HREF="http://diaryofaneccentric.blogspot.com/" REL="nofollow">Diary of an Eccentric<>
