Have you heard of Delicate Edible Birds and Other Stories by Lauren Groff? She is the author of the very popular The Monsters of Templeton (which is another book with a beautiful cover).
This one is a collection of short stories which I usually steer clear of but I may pick this one up just because I like the looks of it! It just came out in January but if anyone has read it, let me know.
This is in my TBR pile and I’m looking forward to it. I love the cover, but the title is a little creepy.
I love the cover, though it reminds me of a fancy wallpaper pattern for some reason.>>–Anna>< HREF="http://diaryofaneccentric.blogspot.com/" REL="nofollow">Diary of an Eccentric<>
I noticed this cover too. It really is pretty isn’t it.
I think Alyce of At Home With Books reviewed this recently…
This is in my TBR too. I think I’m putting it off since I ususally don’t read short stories. I do think the cover is gorgeous.
I agree with Kathy, it’s beautiful, but the title creeps me out.
Ti, I thought the same thing about this cover when I first saw it. it’s gorgeous!>>Shana>< HREF="http://blog.literarily.com" REL="nofollow">Literarily<>
Haven’t read it, but I drool over the cover, too. There are a few blog designs out there that have a similar look…I love those, too.
I reviewed it recently. If you are the kind of person who avoids short stories because there’s not enough time for character development or story depth then you should read this collect. It is now my favorite short story collect. You can read my review here:>http://educatingpetunia.blogspot.com/2009/01/review-delicate-edible-birds.html>>And Alyce did review it. We both loved it.
I agree–every time I see this cover I think maybe I should get it and read it! It sure is lovely. >*smiles*>Kim
