The Sunday Salon: January 18, 2009

It’s Sunday! It’s sunny and I can tell it will be very warm today. The kids are fed but the coffee has yet to be made. Guess I will get right on that.

Last night was a Father/Son night event at a glow-in-the-dark golf place. It was hosted by PTO so I actually had to work it with my daughter while my husband and son played. It was a fun night and I ended up not having to do much at all. My daughter got a bit antsy towards the end because she couldn’t actually play but that’s understandable.

Today, I need to pick-up a few more prop items for The Music Man and then we may try to fit the park in somewhere. I’m thinking about a picnic in the park. That sounds nice, doesn’t it? Later on we will head on over to my MIL’s house for some football watching and nibbly bits (snacks).

I’m still reading The Terror and liking it. It’s reminding me of the show Deadliest Catch (which I love) but somewhere in there there is a monster which I haven’t gotten to yet. A monster in the Arctic… scary!

  1. If your weather there is anything like our weather here, I hope you are off on that picnic. Mid to high sixties. Amazing blue sky. Warm sun.

  2. Ooohh, a monster in the arctic? You’ve got my attention with that one, Ti! Looking forward to your review!

  3. I want to go to a glow in the dark golf place. That would make a great element in a novel. *brainstorms*I am glad you are enjoying The Terror.

  4. I can’t wait to see what you think of The Terror. I’m reading Drood right now and it’s good, but it’s not a quick read.

  5. Oh, I love the Deadliest Catch, so I’ll have to add your book to my list. Sorry you’re not in jammies today, but hanging with the fam is always fun.
