The Sunday Salon: December 7, 2008

Sunday is supposed to be about rest and relaxation but that is not what is on my plate today.

Last night we had a good time at the Los Angeles Zoo’s Reindeer Romp. There were crafts, movies and there was a special performance by Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob. My kids love SpongeBob. SpongeBob used to annoy the hell out of me but I’ve grown to like the sea sponge, although technically he looks nothing like a sea sponge.

After the “romp” we toured the DWP’s Holiday Light Festival which was awesome but with all that walking around, I am completely wiped out today. Here are some pics from last night.

As for reading, I am reading Ransom My Heart by Meg Cabot. It’s not something I would normally pick up on my own but that is why I requested it from First Look. I am trying to step out of my box a bit and since I’ve never read anything by her, I figured, “why not?” I just started it so no initial thoughts on it yet.

The rest of the day deals with the Holiday Dinner show my kids are in. The call time is 2pm for them and the show starts at 6pm so it will be a full day. No restful weekend for me!

What are you doing this Sunday? Shopping? Lounging in PJ’s?

  1. We’re actually decorating our tree today. I’ve never read any Meg Cabot either, so it’ll be nice to see what you think.

  2. Love the pics Ti-looks like the kids had a great time. Doesn’t sound like you’ll have much time to relax today but have a good time at the Holiday Dinner Show tonight. Good luck to the kids-can’t wait to hear about it.

  3. After 3 nights in a row of social commitments, I’m all about lounging in PJs today. Enjoy the Meg Cabot–Queen of Babble is the only one of hers I’ve read…It was pretty good.

  4. I’m a little envious of your daughter wearing short sleeves in December, Ti!!!Shana< HREF="http://blog.literarily.com" REL="nofollow">Literarily<>
