My plan for today, was to stay in and just lounge around. I need to re-fuel, at least that is what my body is telling me but instead…I was up at the crack of dawn putting the Christmas tree up.
Not just the tree, but ALL of my stuff is up now. Lights are up too. My hubby put them up while I was out yesterday. I came home and the house looked really pretty. My plan is to take a family portrait in front of the tree on Thanksgiving day. That picture will also serve as our Christmas card picture. That is the plan anyway.
After this post, I am going to read a bit and then take the kids to rehearsal. I just made some chicken salad for dinner later and then I have to run to the market for a few more items. I swear…I am always at the market! At some point I also have to make my shopping list for the big “Day After Thanksgiving” shopping trip that a group of us girls do every year.

Moms never get a day off. Several people around us have decorated for Christmas, but we’re going to hold out for another week or two.
I wish I could put all my Christmas stuff up, but the rest of my family won’t allow it. Blah. I don’t much mind about the garlands and such, but I want my tree up no later than December 1st.
Wow… getting the tree up is great progress.. What a good idea… picture in front of it on Thanksgiving.
