Here goes:
“Even Amnesty International didn’t keep statistics on how many women around the world were victims of honor killings. They could tell you how many men were imprisoned and tortured, but they couldn’t keep tabs on the number of women flogged in public for fornication, or executed for adultry.”
Infidel, by Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Yes, I am STILL reading this. I have not had time to read at all but I am really liking it. Well, as much as you can like a book with this subject matter.

It’s ok to like books that have unpleasant subjects. It’s not the same as saying you support or promote more of the badness of the subject – just the writing about it and the awareness/learning, right? >>But I know what you mean…
I’m anxious for your review on this one Ti. I’ve wanted to read it for a while.
bkclubcare – Yes, I see what you are saying. There is definately a difference.>>dar – I have to wait for my book club to meet in Nov before I can post the review. I promised them no more reviews beforehand.
Wow, that jumps right out at you. I’ll have to find out more about the book. Thanks!
I just looked this up via your B&N link. It looks fantastic Ti.
