Friday afternoon, at the height of rush hour traffic, a Metrolink commuter train crashed into a freight train head-on. You can read about the accident here. Anytime I hear of accidents like this, I am saddened over the loss of life and feel such heartache for the families involved. This particular rail line was heavily used by employees and students of the university I work for and it has already been confirmed that one student from the university did not survive. I know co-workers that take that particular train as well so right now I am reading the updates and hoping for the best. My heart goes out to all of the families.
